Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Series round 2
Pow! We have another installment of the Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Championship. This is round round 2 again held at the home of RC drifting in Ireland, the custom built Dori Garage track at WKD Imports in Carlow Ireland. The guys Dori Garage crew kindly invited me over to do the judging duties again. I really enjoy it but at times it can be really difficult especially during the battles! (more…)
Drift Track Day Mondello Ireland
Today myself and Wez from WKD Imports headed towards Mondello Park in Co. Kildare Ireland for a Drift Trackday. These are starting to become ever more popular and with Prodrift only running a four round championship this year, many guys had a drift itch that had to be scratched! Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Series Round 1
Today I had a great laugh at the Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Championships round 1 at WKD Imports. I was planning on popping over and grabbing a few snaps of the action until I dropped over last night to see how the preparation was going. I then kinda got roped into the judging which I was a little apprehensive about! It can be a tricky task at the best of times but I was happy to give it a go. So I went home that night and swatted up on YouTube watching loads of cool RC drifting videos lol! The rules are pretty much the same as the 1:1 guys but these RC drift cars can really move fast between clipping points! (more…)
Prodrift RD2 RC
I found a few of these RC dudes hanging out at the WKD Imports truck where they were showing Wez the team boss their latest creation which was a scale RC model of the WKD truck. It looked class and the attention to detail was amazing. I got chatting to the lads and they were brimming with enthusiasm about their scene. Its fantastic to see to the interest the lads had and what they were doing with their time. The drifting RC scene in Ireland is pretty small but the lads are set on a path to change this. At the back of the truck they had set up a track and were displaying their wares, so I said I’d take a few snaps for them and help get them out there.
