Sunday 19th September was a practice day at Bishopscourt, to give drivers a bit of extra time on track before King of the Court on 9th / 10th October.
I strapped the cameras onto 14 year old Duane’s car and let his skills do the talking. Enjoy.

Pow! We have another installment of the Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Championship. This is round round 2 again held at the home of RC drifting in Ireland, the custom built Dori Garage track at WKD Imports in Carlow Ireland. This is one sweet little RC Drift Car. It belongs to Colin Carrigan from Ireland. He built it as a replica of Darren MacNamara’s RE86 and has done a nice job too. Colin is now running 2nd in the Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Series so we should be seeing more of this car during the coming months. (more…)
I had a few more from the Dori Garage Irish RC series round 1 and said I’d fire them up. Its a burgeoning scene in Ireland with some really enthusiastic guys at the helm. With the construction of a purpose built Dori Garage track at the WKD Imports HQ it will cement the foundations for future growth. (more…)
Today I had a great laugh at the Dori Garage Irish RC Drift Championships round 1 at WKD Imports. I was planning on popping over and grabbing a few snaps of the action until I dropped over last night to see how the preparation was going. I then kinda got roped into the judging which I was a little apprehensive about! It can be a tricky task at the best of times but I was happy to give it a go. So I went home that night and swatted up on YouTube watching loads of cool RC drifting videos lol! The rules are pretty much the same as the 1:1 guys but these RC drift cars can really move fast between clipping points! (more…)
Ok so its time to get up close and personal with an RC Drift Car! In so many respects they’re are many similarities between the 1:1 guys and the RC brigade, its only when you get up close and personal that you can see these. Full adjustable suspensions, arbs, steering lock kits, oil filled shocks, carbon fibre chassis, different ratio diffs, interchangeable gearboxes…I could go on and on! I met up with the Dori Garage boys to talk tech and its really amazing the way they can set up cars for different tracks, track surfaces and driver styles etc much the same as the real thing! They’re so many variables and so many custom parts available that the skies the limit with what you can build. (more…)
The lads from Dori Garage had built another RC track for Citywest and it was bigger and better than before. People were invited to give it a go and test out they’re custom RC Drift ware! It was mad fun and I tried to catch a few shots of the fast little beepers lol! (more…)
I met these guys at Prodrift round 3 in Punchestown and again last weekend at round 4 in Citywest. These dudes are committed to starting a whole RC drift scene in Ireland. They’re really passionate about what they do and build some real quality RC Drift cars. The detail and level of mods available for these cars are quite plainly nuts! Very soon I will bring you inside an RC Drift Car to see what its all about. Dori Garage you’re up!
