Before I get got onto the sound deadening task I had a slightly bigger job on hand. Each time I was going to work on the car I was finding it tricky to get access to many parts of the car especially underneath and the arches. It was time for a mini project…project build a shell spit! Again like many parts of this project it was on to the interent…after a hour or two of jamming on the keyboard I had it narrowed down to about 3 designs. (more…)

Ok so now everything is out of the car and either in boxes or sitting on the floor. Kinda weird looking at it all and am hoping the majority of it wont be making it back onto the car! I now realize what a pain in the ass it is to work on the car when its sitting on the ground on the mini spares. Everything is just awkward grrrrr. (more…)

Its mad when you start tearing down or stripping a car the amount of little niggly parts and components that need to be removed. I keep thinking to myself jeez should I be marking this or labelling that etc. The tendency is to go ‘nah’ sure I wont be using that again, dont need that etc etc. (more…)

Ok so the time has come to get this build up here. I cant stress enough that this build will be a ‘love you long time’ effort lol! I have the car now nearly 2 years and progress has been slow mainly due to three things, 1. Funds, 2. Project ‘building a house’ started 8 months ago and will be close to completion in another 5 months and 3. Funds…did I mention funds! I have some work done mainly stripping the car etc which I have already documented on some of the forums so my first objective will be to get the Driftbloggers audience up to speed and then we’ll move on from there.
