The day after Round 1 of the Drift Allstars European Series, Scotty invited me up to skylinepart.com HQ to photograph Filippo Pirini’s Mazda MX5 (Miata) NB which Scotty described as “a work of art”. Well, I couldn’t refuse could I? Filippo has been staying with Scotty until Round 2, with both rounds being held here in the North East. When I got to the farm, a stunning example stood before me (the car not Scotty).
Monday 25 April 2011 – Teesside Autodrome, Middlesbrough
It was Middlesbrough, so it was windy. But not too much. It was also sunny – another bonus. And it was the Drift Allstars European Series 2011 season opener. Scenes of the devastation caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan have shocked the world and the drift community has rushed to help the victims of this tragedy in the motherland of our sport.
The SleepyCat Crew made the journey to a sunny Mondello Park on Saturday for the Drift Practice, and as it was fully booked there was constant action all day.
