New FormulaD Tire Size/Weight regulations 2011
I just spotted this over on the wreckedmagazine.com blog. Interesting changes afoot for 2011 in FormulaD…What do people think? I think it’ll make it interesting and hopefully help some of the smaller guys/teams. I wonder will it bring the Hachi back! (more…)
Raidopower Motorsport G1GP Adventure Day 5
These are pictures from last friday from Goran in Japan, I got an email from Andreas (Raidopower Motorsport team boss) today and he said the guys have been doing nothing for the last 3 days only sleeping and drifting! That’s the way to it! All we have for now is that unfortunately they didn’t make the top 16. They are leaving for Sweden shortly and we will have more info, results and a final report. Over the past few days I have been in touch with Andreas Hedstrom the drift team manager with Raidopower Motorsport in Sweden. The guys are currently in Japan getting suited n booted for the November round of G1Gp. They are sending us updates of their adventure both leading up to and on the day of the event. Before I get got onto the sound deadening task I had a slightly bigger job on hand. Each time I was going to work on the car I was finding it tricky to get access to many parts of the car especially underneath and the arches. It was time for a mini project…project build a shell spit! Again like many parts of this project it was on to the interent…after a hour or two of jamming on the keyboard I had it narrowed down to about 3 designs. (more…)

Prodrift Mondello 2010 Saturday
Round 4 of the Prodrift Irish series was an interesting event with the return of both Damien Mulvey and Eric O’Sullivan to the scene. The two guys hit the track hard and it was like they’d never been away! The Saturday was definitely for the hardcore drift fans with numerous showers of rain in the morning leaving the track wet as could be. (more…)

DMac at Evergreen Speedway
DMac at Evergreen Speedway…Team Falken Driver Darren McNamara scored his first podium of the year by taking third in Saturday night’s Formula Drift Championship at Evergreen Speedway. It was Falken’s sixth podium in four races and Falken’s Vaughn Gittin, Jr., who qualified first for the weekend event, continues to lead the series championship. Check out Dean Kearney’s burnout and Aasbo v’s Gitten runs…awesome stuff!

Its mad when you start tearing down or stripping a car the amount of little niggly parts and components that need to be removed. I keep thinking to myself jeez should I be marking this or labelling that etc. The tendency is to go ‘nah’ sure I wont be using that again, dont need that etc etc. (more…)

This is round round 2 again held at the home of RC drifting in Ireland, the custom built Dori Garage track at WKD Imports in Carlow Ireland. Drift Track Day Mondello Ireland
Today myself and Wez from WKD Imports headed towards Mondello Park in Co. Kildare Ireland for a Drift Trackday. These are starting to become ever more popular and with Prodrift only running a four round championship this year, many guys had a drift itch that had to be scratched!
